It was a pitcher's duel most of the afternoon.
Montgomery took a 1-0 lead in the 2nd, only to be erased by a Zookeeper (Nick Rost) wallscraper in the home half of the frame.
They snatched the lead back in the 5th thanks to a Jake McCabe RBI single.
But then in the bottom of the inning The Nate Rost came up with one on and two outs and proceeded to drill one over the left-center field fence to give the Fish a 3-2 lead, one they wouldn't give up.
After that we would add five more runs over the next four innings, the key knock being a two-RBI pinch-hit single from Sweet Baby Joe McKibben in the 6th.
Vocca took over in relief in the 5th and shut the Mallards down, allowing one hit and fanning five over 4 2/3 innings and picking up the W in the process.
Lyden, Vocca, T. Bergstrom, and both Rost Bros. with at least two hits apiece. Solid team effort all around.
Muskies win, 8-2.
