Three games on the schedule over Memorial Day weekend, only one played thanks to some untimely rain.
In between a pair of rainouts, there was a blowout.
Herber and Firpo combined to throw a five-hit, seven inning shutout against Faribault on Sunday. Herber started, went five, and struck out eight; Firpo went two and fanned four.
The Muskies offense was hot from the beginning. Ten different Muskies had base hits. A. Henkemeyer led the way with three, one of which was a home run (an absolute blast, by the way). Tyler Bergstrom also hit a three run homer; oppo-taco style, a no-doubter. Ni. Rost and B. Herber had multiple hits on the day, A. Henkemeyer, Na. Rost, T. Bergstrom, and D. Stewart drove in multiple runs.
Payton Miller took the loss for the Lakers. Omar Escobar drove in their only run.
F/7
Faribault - 1
Muskies - 15
Fingers crossed, the rain stays away and we make up a game at Union Hill on Thursday evening at 8:00 PM CDT.
