One loss and one win this weekend for the Fish. We dropped a close game to Prior Lake on Saturday and earned a solid victory over New Prague on Sunday.

Saturday got off to a promising start, as we had a 2-0 after three innings, but Prior Lake battle back with two in the 4th on a Fudd homer and then three more in the 7th thanks to some timely hitting with runners on. The Nate Rost battle for us all day, and in my opinion, threw a really solid game, but we never really got the bats going against Morrison, Prior Lake's starter and former Muskies state tourney draftee circa 2014. Tip of the cap to the Mudcats, we hope to meet them again in the playoffs.

Sunday was a different story as we put up a six spot in the 1st and never looked back. Ripp took the hill and was in control right away: efficient, crafty, and overpowering when he needed to be. This was a total team effort, with every starter contributing in the form of a hit, a run, or a run driven in. 

We look to even up the season series against Elko on Wednesday night at 7:30 in Elko. Let's go.
