The Fish are back in first in the DRS.
On Sunday afternoon we finished up the rain suspended game from May 17th at Faribualt. The game was tied at 4 in the bottom of the 8th. The lanky lefty promptly shut the door on the Lakers, and the Muskies eventually plated a run in the 10th after Harry Ballantyne reached on a one out single and came around to score on an error. Harry had four hits in the game, coming up a home run shy of the cycle. 14 Ks on the day for Mr. Bergstrom.
The second game lacked the suspense of the first game, but it was definitely an exciting, fun game for us. We scored in every inning but the 5th, with Nick Rost and Bryce Rippentrop each going deep. Solid defense all around. D. Bergstrom went five solid innings in this contest as well, enough to earn his second W of the afternoon. Ripp came in and closed the door for the final two innings, as the game ended after seven thanks to the ten run rule.
All in all a great day for the Muskies. Thanks to everyone for coming out and spending your Father's Day with us!
Saturday in New Market against Prior Lake, let's go. Don't forget it's a 3PM start time.
