Muskies Drop Midweek Exhibition to Miesville
6/18/2015

Beautiful night, beautiful field, decent game. It was actually much closer than the score indicated. Miesville, not to take anything away from them, they are a heck of a ball team, benefitted from two ABSURD calls: a ball down the right field line that was clearly foul was ruled fair led to a run, and a ball off the wall in left field that was clearly foul was also ruled fair, that led to three runs in the 8th. Todd did not get run, which should tell you something. The off-night of the ump notwithstanding, the moral of the story is we got beat, and that's baseball.

Parker went out there and worked his tail off for 5 1/3 innings. I for one really enjoy watching him pitch. He made some really good hitters look really silly. Scotty came in after that and did the yeoman's work, like he does. Scotty's good attitude in such situations is a boon to this ball team. Oh, and by the way, drilled, AGAIN: 15 HBP and counting!

Nick Roast had a lovely night at the dish. Two knocks, two walks.

And last but not least, newcomer Brett Herber earned his first hit as a Fish. Rumor has it Lenny took the ball and is planning to keep it as pet named Herby. El Web Maestro can see Mr. Herber becoming a fan favorite real fast.

Friday night in Shakopee, let's go.

Oh, and you are not going to want to miss Sunday's game. Two words: walk-up music. Hello ladies.
